Upload Your Video Testimony

Things to remember when uploading your video testimony.  keep it within 2 to 3 minutes, appropriate, non-distracting background, and do your best to speak with energy and life!

First things first...

  • The first thing you will do is launch the Video Upload Screen. You will do this by clicking on the 'Start Uploading Your Testimony' above, or by clicking on the 'Upload Your Testimony Now' button button below.
  • On the left side of the screen that launches, you will see four options: 'File Upload,' 'Web Cam,' 'Kaltura,' and 'MySpace.' You will click on one of these depending on your situation...
  • Choose 'File Upload' if - you have already recorded your testimony, and it is in a movie format (.mov, .flv, or .m4v) choose this option to upload that file directly from your computer.
  • Choose 'Webcam' if - you need to record your testimony with a webcam that is hooked up to your computer.

Step One - Webcam

Step One

  • When the screen first launches, please click on the 'Webcam' tab.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: If you see a screen asking for permission to use the on-board camera and microphone, please click 'Allow.' First of all, it's perfectly safe and normal to see this message. By clicking 'Allow,' you allow the software to use your computer's video and audio capabilities to record your testimony. Secondly, If you click 'Deny,' you will not be able to submit a video.

  • After you have chosen the 'Webcam' option and allowed access to your computer's video and audio capabilities, you will see a screen like this. You'll notice that the video preview screen is blank in the previous screenshot. That simply means that you have not chosen the right hardware to record a video.
  • Choose each item in the drop-down list to the left of the video preview screen until you see a live frame in the preview screen (see what we mean).
  • Once your video preview screen shows a live frame, then you are ready for the next step.

  • Once you have a live frame in the video preview screen, you'll see something resembling this screen setup. It's time to record your testimony!
  • Remember the three tips above... and click the 'Record' button just below the video preview screen. Don't worry if you don't get it right the first time. Just like leaving a voice mail, you can have multiple attempts.
  • Once finished recording, click the 'Stop' button that replaces the 'Record' button.
Step Four - Webcam Upload

  • After you've recorded your testimony and clicked 'Stop,' you will see a screen like this.
  • Click 'Play' to playback what you just recorded. Click 'Record' to trash what you just recorded and start a new recording. Again, you can record as many versions as you would like. You will only submit one.
  • Once you are satisfied with a recording, click the 'Next' button at the bottom right of the screen.
Step Five - Webcam Upload

  • After clicking next, you'll be taken to this screen setup.
  • Please give your video testimony a name and descriptive tags. Tags are simply descriptive words or phrases that help categorize your video. (Click here for example titles or here for example tags.)
  • Once you have filled out the name and tags on your video, click 'Finish.' NOTE: You will be asked to agree to the 'Terms of Use' and will be informed what license your video is under. You may review either.
  • Click 'OK' to complete the upload.

Finished!

  • If all goes well, you should see this screen!
  • Congratulations on uploading your testimony! To add another testimony, click 'Add More Media.' To finish, simply click 'Finish.' Thank you for your support and involvement.
Step One - File Upload

  • When the screen first launches, please click on the 'File Upload' tab. You will see this screen setup.
  • Click the 'Browse' button.

  • After clicking the 'Browse' button, a window will popup that allows you to navigate your computer.
  • Find your video testimony file (.mov, .flv, .m4v) in this window.
  • Once you have found the file, select it, and click 'OK / Select' to go back to the upload screen.

  • After selecting the file from your computer, you should see this screen setup. You'll see the file 'Name' (don't worry, you can change this later), 'Size' (you cannot upload a file more than 200MB), and the option to 'Remove' that file from the upload queue.
  • Simply click 'Browse' to select the correct file from your computer.
  • Once you have the correct file selected click the 'Upload!' button at the bottom of the screen to begin the upload process. A progress bar will show you the status.

  • Once the upload is complete, you will be taken back to this screen, that looks much like the upload screen in step 3. The difference you should see is that under the 'Status' column, it should read 'Done.'
  • Click the 'Next' button at the bottom of the Screen.

  • After clicking next, you'll be taken to this screen setup.
