Fire House, the fast-paced, lively and high-energy church for children grades 2-5, is every Thursday evening at World Revival Church.
Starting at 7 p.m., children rush to the Fire House set where they are prepared, trained and ministered to by not only adults who model a passionate life for Jesus, but also peers who lead by example and are full of faith and enthusiasm.
The purpose is to reach out to all the children of Kansas City, giving them a place where they can come experience the love of God and see that they can have a living relationship with Jesus Christ. Each week, a Bible story is brought to life through fun and entertaining ways, such as skits, puppets, object lessons, illustrated talks and role-playing. There also are activities, such as crafts, games, contests and music, that reinforce the lesson.
The children are active participants in all aspects of Fire House-sharing testimonies, participating in group discussions, taking the offering, praying for one another, greeting visitors and helping clean up after each service. We want to see children growing in Jesus, in understanding and applying the Word of God, and reaching out to others as servants of Jesus.
Our children are excited about Fire House! "I like Fire House. It's fun!", "I love doing the skits!", "I wish we had Fire House every service!" and "Fire House has made it easier for me to understand the bible better now than before": are just a few comments heard from some of our children. We welcome all children to come and join us for a fun and exciting time in the Lord!
Sparks is for your child ages 4-7. It's a place where kids can have fun and use their energy for God while they learn Bible lessons that will stay with them for life.
Your little Spark will learn all about God through interactive teaching and fun activities. Sparks is a fast-paced environment that your child will look forward to each week. Every Thursday your child will learn a Bible theme and verse and then find out practical ways to live out what they learn. Lively praise with fresh new music created just for Sparks will capture your child's heart for God.
Sparks even learn to pray for one another with prayers that get results! All of this in a fun, Bible-centered atmosphere, rich with activities that will make the Bible come alive for your child. Even little children can get pulled down by the world... counteract the downward pull on your child's heart with the uplift your little spark will get every Thursday night in Sparks at WRC!
Light Church focuses on ministering to children from newborn to five years of age. The vision is to enable the children to learn the Word of God and to experience power found within.
Realizing that children will remember and retain what they learn at an early age, we put in them the reality of Christ, building a foundation of Jesus that they can hold on to and grow in for the rest of their lives. Every child holds within them a spirit that can come alive with the right equipment. We are giving each child that equipment.
The children learn foundational principles like loving God, being thankful, doing what Jesus did, along with many others. The lesson plans that are used to teach the children are filled with Bible stories, memory verses, and "Mission Marches." The stories that are told to the children are from children's Bibles that can be found at many Christian bookstores.
Not only are their spiritual needs met, but we have a group of wonderful, nurturing people that minister to their physical and emotional needs. Each age group receives a snack and the children get a time to interact and learn cooperation and sharing. The children are also given the opportunity to do a craft or project that they can take home to help them remember what they learned during their time at church.
