Revival is restoring the power to LIVE back to God’s people. At World Revival Church, God’s power is being poured into people worldwide, giving them a new chance at life.
“Religion tells you what to do, without the power to do it,” shared Pastor Steve Gray recently at the Kansas City revival. “But the grace of God is a power,” he added, “and God is offering this grace to people in revival!”
Elisha from Texas is one young man who is experiencing the power to live because of his encounter with God at WRC. “3 months ago I was suicidal,” he shared this past weekend. “I had a gun to my head and I told my family ‘get out of here ‘cause I don’t want you to see it. If you don’t, I’ve got a bullet for every one of you.’”
“That’s how much anger I had in me. I had a lot of anger towards God,” he said. Although he was a Christian, frustration and depression had led him to suicide. “It’s because I got involved in church, I got saved, and I was so fired up - but they just kept pushing me down.”
Desperate, Elisha came to Kansas City to visit his brother, a member of World Revival Church. “God do something,” he cried, “Break me out of this thing.” As Elisha told the story of his breakthrough at WRC, he vividly acted out what God did for him during prayer.
It was like someone taking a sledgehammer and swinging it against a brick wall. “Boom, boom!” Elisha described, “He started tearing down these walls and said ‘I set you free. You’re free!’”
The telling of the testimony was dramatic and intense. The crowd at WRC roared with praise as Elisha then exclaimed, “It feels wonderful! I’m alive!” With a huge smile on his face, the freedom was obvious.
