Churches grab hold of revival

The revival at World Revival Church draws many hungry pastors desperate for more of God for their churches and congregations. Pastor Jamie Cochran and Mercy Ministries church in Lucedale, Mississippi is making a big investment to see revival happen in their town.

Pastor Jamie first visited WRC in September, 2009. Impacted by the hunger and response of the Kansas City congregation, he invited Pastor Steve and Kathy Gray to hold meetings in his church the following February. Click here to see clips of those monumental meetings in Mississippi!

Jeremy Howard was part of the WRC ministry team that traveled to Lucedale for the meetings Sunday through Tuesday nights. He describes the effect that the message and ministry of Pastor Steve and Kathy had during those meetings. “By Tuesday night, we were looking at different people!” he says.

The impact was profound on this southern congregation. So much, in fact, that the congregation received an offering of $17,000 and this past weekend sent a busload of 50 members to Kansas City for the revival weekend. While here, Pastor Cochran shared about the meetings in Lucedale, “Pastor Steve and Kathy brought us a great move of God… we’re still feeling the tremors of that.”

He explained, “We wanted to bring our church up here to bring them into your element. There’s such a love here, a unity and a consistency. That’s what we must have to maintain what God’s doing!”

Justin, a member of Cochran’s church, was dramatically touched by being in the “element” of World Revival Church. “God’s unity is just unreal here. It’s been an incredible experience. I’m ready to get home and spread that unity!”

Part of the youth of Mercy Ministries, Gary was amazed by God’s touch on his life during the services. “He’s broken barriers and torn down walls that I’ve built around my heart for so many years.” Although he came to Kansas City unsure of what to expect, he left declaring, “Freedom has come! He’s pulled the chains off!”

At first, Whitney was frustrated because she wasn’t feeling God. She cried out to God during the service, “Why can’t I feel you like I used to?” During Pastor Kathy’s preaching on Saturday night, Whitney, another member of Pastor Jamie’s church, got her breakthrough.

“It was like the fear was breaking off of me - that I didn’t even know I had! I can’t even describe how good it feels. I’m free!”

Pastor Cochran honors the Lord and his church for sending the busload to Kansas City this past weekend. Their investment is paving the way for revival in Mississippi.
