Blog written by young adults of World Revival Church - What do you think of when you hear Jesus referred to as “the lamb of God?”
I will tell you what the young adults at World Revival Church DON’T think of... a soft, sweet, nice Jesus that wants to cuddle all the time! Instead, we all came together this week to speak of new revelations of what it means to us for Jesus to be the lamb of God.
Many people described how their minds were being transformed to understand the greatness of Jesus becoming the ultimate, perfect sacrifice. Some even had tears while speaking as the magnitude of this truth sank into their hearts.
There are two attributes of a lamb you must know: 1. They are overly submissive. 2. They always have a shepherd.
Jesus never wavered from His Father's will. In the same way, we must live our lives overly submissive to God's continual leading... even when that takes us to the cross to lose our very lives! We are to be LIVING SACRIFICES!
Jesus was the final lamb! He was the beginning of a new race of people that could once again live in the unveiled glory of God. The days of old are gone when only the high Priest could enter the “Holy of Holies!” Jesus made a way for us to know Him like Moses did!
The unity is increasing every week here at our meetings. We hope that you will choose to be a part of what God is doing among the young adults at World Revival Church!
Come join us this coming Wednesday as we discuss Jesus as the gate, the good shepherd and the true vine!
