Jeremy Weedman was riding the fence, with every intention of falling off - away from God. The son of pastors, he was looking for the first exit.
But that scared him. And led him to the World Revival School of Ministry in Kansas City, Mo.
Weedman thought he'd attend the school for a year, then go back to Illinois to a university for an engineering degree.
But three years later, Weedman graduated with a Bachelor in Ministerial Studies and an education that was more than just book knowledge.
"I'd go to class Friday to learn about revival, and then go that night and see revival at World Revival Church," he said.
From the first year of a three-year intense curriculum, Weedman was challenged in all aspects of his life.
"I had to be willing to accept that I was wrong and needed a change," he said. "The hardest part wasn't academic. It was about letting God change you to the extent that He wants to."
The first year of his studies focused on revival theology. The second year of the program dug deep into the scriptures. And the last year focused on the practical view of ministry.
Weedman said the teachers were influential roles in his education, helping him learn about God and making God become so real.
"The teachers aren't typical. They've given their lives to serve God. They've sacrificed to be here and have grabbed hold of all God is doing," he said.
Now, Weedman is confident the education has prepared him to be a strong leader in life and revival. He's working for World Revival Church in the media department and is enjoying ministering to people through that role.
"If you want to better serve God, the School of Ministry will help do that for you."
The World Revival School of Ministry is a school like no other. It is a place where students are being raised up to be powerful leaders and workers in the Kingdom of God.
Spring semester starts March 10.
