Multiple waves of God’s glory were experienced throughout this Sunday morning’s service at World Revival Church. Most remarkable was the heavy anointing that rested upon a nine year-old boy named Ivan.
The powerful presence of God was evident early in the service as people rushed the stage desperate for a touch from God. Many flew back or collapsed trembling on the floor as Pastor Steve Gray moved among them, releasing the anointing of God.
As chairs were righted and people moved back to their seats, Gray preached on the importance of getting out of the natural mind and yielding to the Spirit of God. “The things of the Spirit can be yours,” he said. “Quit calling them foolish!”
As the call went out to yield to the spirit, the stage was rushed again with people wanting an increase of the activity of the Spirit in their lives. Wave after wave of power and glory exploded upon the congregation as Gray and his appointed “prayer warriors” went forth to pray.
At one intense moment, Gray surrounded himself with the men of the congregation. As these mighty men clung to one another, pulling on the presence of God, Gray spotted a small nine year-old, Ivan. Earnestly pressing in for more of God, Ivan was experiencing the “tremblings” of the Spirit as God’s anointing rested heavily on him.
It was a “now” moment of God as Gray grabbed young Ivan and directed him into the swarm of people to touch their hands and release this power into them. Awed by the moment, the mood of the congregation switched to a holy hush as Ivan walked through the crowd, taking each person’s hand. “It was like a current of power,” describes one young woman. “It was like waves,” describes another, “I feel completely different…” The effect was phenomenal as this young man was used as a sign and a testimony of the might of God.
For over 45 minutes Ivan, trembling continually from the heavy presence of God, walked among the people with Gray at his side. Ivan describes the feeling as “warm, like a thousands blankets all around me. It felt so good.” New to the church, Ivan’s parents say that they “were meant to be here.” Ivan’s father, Pablo relates, “As soon as we stepped through the doors, I experienced the tingling of the presence of God in my body… I knew this is where we wanted to be.”
