FireHouse kids preach the Word of God BOLDLY!

Last week in our class, a young FireHouse boy named Mason preached a sermon to the other kids. He spoke from Psalm 91:1 – “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Here’s what he had to say!

“The Lord is our deliverer, restorer, and healer. Jesus gave His life on the cross so that we could all live in freedom. Freedom from depression, sickness, disease, anger, and everything that is not the Fruit of the Spirit. When I started coming here 2½ years ago, I was a mess. I was full of fear, anger, depression, and felt very distant from society. I had ADHD and bi-polar. I didn’t believe Jesus wanted me healed until I listened and learned here that healing is right, and healing is for you and me!

Jeremiah 30:17 says, ‘I will restore you to health and heal your wounds.’ God not only wants to heal our sickness, but He also heals our broken hearts. We have all experienced hurt in some way. Someone made fun of you, called you names, parents divorced, or even someone close to you has passed away. I had a huge emptiness in my heart from never knowing my real dad. My mom constantly reminded me that, no matter what, I always have a Father who will never leave me or forsake me, Jesus.

In Jeremiah 33:6, it says, ‘I will heal My people, and I will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.’ God wants and knows what is best for each one of us. He promises to heal us and allow us to live in freedom. We are secure and protected under His wings. We are to live by faith and trust in God at all times. Even when things seem impossible to us, nothing is impossible for God!”
