There is a famous quote that says "every man dies, but not every man truly lives".
As we start the new year I encourage you to Squeeze the Day!
I have come to understand that most people either live in the past desiring the good ol days or they live longing for the future when "all the pieces have come together".
By the way if you are older you probably look to your past and if you are on the younger side you will tend to look toward the future for a better day.
The problem is that life does not happen in the past or in the future. Life happens in the today, in the NOW.
One of the great treasures I have recieved in revival and have seen in my pastor is the ability to squeeze every bit of life out of today as possbile.
To Squeeze the Day
means grabbing every moment possible to really worship, to really love, to really care. Means having your kids stay up for few extra mintues to talk and laugh.
To Squeeze the Day
means being in church and NOT thinking about what your plans are after church. Being at work and NOT waiting to clock out, Being at home and NOT wanting to go hit the hay just to get up and do it all over again.
To Squeeze the Day
means to really be "present" when you are with the ones you love and cherish. It means to really live!
The Bible tells us that Jesus came to bring us life and life to the fullest. The ability to really live life only comes thru Jesus.
The life of God is to be experienced and lived TODAY, RIGHT NOW!
So go ahead grab that abundant life and squeeze as much of it out today as you can! Don't kill time, squeeze it!
This gives whole new meaning to Carpe Diem.
