Is it too much to dream of safety in our country? Of being able to walk the streets safely, with no fear of danger? I would like to pray until we rid this country of crime.
This is do-able. There are other countries where you can walk even late at night unescorted and feel safe. If God’s people would step into warfare mode, I have the faith we could enjoy the same safe streets in the U.S.
There needs to be a shift in the minds of God’s people. Too many are dressed for battle, but they don’t know how to fight the spiritual scrimmages that will win our nation back to God. You have to be ready for enemies, obstacles, trouble, sword or persecution. We have to keep moving forward despite the battles at hand!
You may feel weak and you may not know how to fight, but the first thing to do is fall in line with the rest of us in battle formation. March forward and get a new beginning.
As you do, you’ll learn the tactics of spiritual warfare. Turn your fear in and exchange it for an intense faith that believes the Lord will fight for us as we step out in obedience.
The Kingdom of God needs you to gain an attitude for war. There’s no room for cupcakes in our congregations (or in our pulpits). We can’t be the kind of people that look good, but break easily.
