Junior Highers learn how to BLAZE for God

BLAZERS - a place to teach junior highers how to blaze a trail and stay on fire for God. It doesn't matter how old you are - you can carry revival.

On Thursday nights at 7:00 pm, we learn how to pray, worship, preach, and teach others about God. Although we like to have fun, that's not the focus of this Jr. High ministry. These teens are learning what it means to carry revival. Not only do we experience the Presence of God, but we learn how to be a participant and contributor to revival.

Here's some things that have happened so far this summer in Blazers:

- During a lesson on the power of all, the Blazers prayed for a woman with cancer. A few weeks later, we got a report that the woman had gone to the doctor and she was cancer free.

- After a discussion on the names of God and how much He likes to be told who He is, Maddie made the comment, "I always knew God was holy. I just didn't know I was supposed to tell Him."

- One week, Cedrick gave the offering sermon. He shared from John 3:16, that just as God gave everything for us, we should be willing to give everything for him. So are we going to save our money for a pack of gum or a soda from the vending machine... or give what we have to God?

- An assignment was given for the Blazers to come prepared to speak on either God is Holy or God is Generous. Kirsten shared from the heart how generous God had been to her. After falling away from God or making bad choices, God, being so generous with Himself, was always there to pull her back in. Now she's in a great place and on fire for God.
