The Kansas City revival is not a “pulpit-led” revival - it is a revival of the people of God. Visitors to World Revival Church come for the powerful ministry of Pastor Steve Gray and co-pastor Kathy Gray, but they also come for the experience of being in the midst of a congregation in revival.
“This isn’t an adult revival, a children or a youth revival or a revival in the pulpit,” Pastor Steve shares. “This is a people revival.” He often refers to WRC as a dream church to pastor, but that’s come after many years of pastoring a group of individuals into a united body of believers. Jan, a pastor from Texas, had first visited World Revival Church during last November’s Burn Conference. “It totally changed our lives, our ministry and our focus,” he explained. Joined by his leadership team this past weekend, he shared, “We just had to get our ministry leaders here to see a whole congregation at one time worshiping the Lord. I’ve never seen that before!”
Pastor Will came to WRC at a desperate time in his family’s life. Forced out of the ministry, he needed to get his wife and kids into a church that was doing something more than “going through the motions.” They needed life and healing! Speaking to the WRC congregation, he said, “Thank you for being so aggressive in the Spirit. My family needed it! You give hope…”
Michael and Sandi have been watching the revival from their home in Ohio. “We’re on the other side of those cameras,” Michael shared. Watching the move of God’s Spirit on the people at WRC, he said, “The more I watched, the more I wanted.” Sandi always felt she was a true worshiper - until she stood in the middle of the worshiping congregation at WRC. She told us, “I realized I didn’t know what true worship was until I came here.”
Allen from Tennessee made the trip to Kansas City to experience what he’d seen on TV. He was impacted by the congregation and shared, “I can tell you the fruit of this ministry: I see loving, caring people!” He strongly encouraged pastors and leaders to get to Kansas City and “get yourself in a church that’s not ashamed of the gospel!”
