I was in the basement of a very old house this past weekend. The house looked really good considering its age but as I poked around the basement I noticed a crack that ran horizontal along the entire wall. To me it did not seem too bad, but when an expert looked at it he informed me the wall was buckling under the pressure. It was on the driveway side of the house so after years of cars and trucks in and out the ground had settled and pushed in against the foundation.
My wife and I are now the proud parents of adult children; though it has its benefits...no dirty diapers and sleepless nights, there are a lot of things I miss about my children being young...
Being a part of a great church family, we get to share in the lives of many of the children here at World Revival Church and it is a joy to watch God at work in their lives. Take this story for instance...
As I reflect back to my first year in college I gain great appreciation to be a part of what God is doing here at World Revival School of Ministry. Those first years after high school can be emotionally trying times. You know how everybody always asks you "what are you going to major in?, what are you planning to do for a career?"
The Holidays can bring with them a mixed bag of emotions, especially for those who have lost loved ones throughout the year. This was the case for my mother-in-law, Marian who had lost her daughter Julie just 9 months ago. Julie was only 51 and was married and had two grown children.
Julie's husband Don was preparing to go see Mom for Christmas and was not looking forward to facing all the memories that were held in the home. He was even thinking about not going but something happened that day that is nothing short of a Christmas miracle.
Every year when we start our new school quarter I look forward with great expectancy of seeing lives changed right before my eyes.
It happens over and over again. A student comes into school expecting we will be just like any other school and boy do they find out quickly that is not the case. One student said to me "you guys don't just care about putting knowledge in our heads you want us to get this in our hearts", well spoken.
I'm sure, like me, you have wondered what Heaven is going to be like.
Six months ago this question was heavy on my heart because my wife's 51 year old sister died. A beautiful healthy woman, mother, and wife one moment and then suddenly she was gone.
Ever wonder how many people are actually watching World Revival Church services. As the Online Pastor here at WRC, I think about this every week. I am amazed to see thousands are watching and logging on from all over the world and at all hours of the day and night just to participate in our revival services.
Here is a list of of the countries that are streaming our revival services over the internet...
I remember the night well. I was 18yrs old and trying to decide what I was supposed to do with my life. The voices of those I loved were ringing loudly in my head. From my Jewish Grandma wanting me to be a doctor, to my pastor pointing me in the direction of ministry.
There were as many options as I had friends and family. But what did God want me to do. I decided that night in the little church in Florence,SC that it was to be the night that I heard from God.
