Staying the Course

Posted May 10th, 2012 by Bryan Riportella

I was reflecting on Jesus' words in John 16:1 "All this I have told you so that you will not go astray"  My first thought was what did He say and for that I would have to look backwards.  I began to think about how I have stayed the course of following Jesus for over forty years.  What was it that has kept me on course when so many others have been blown off to sea.   I believe the answers are right in the words of Jesus just in the chapter before.

Foundations

Posted October 19th, 2011 by Bryan Riportella

I was in the basement of a very old house this past weekend.  The house looked really good considering its age but as I poked around the basement I noticed a crack that ran horizontal along the entire wall. To me it did not seem too bad, but when an expert looked at it he informed me the wall was buckling under the pressure.  It was on the driveway side of the house so after years of cars and trucks in and out the ground had settled and pushed in against the foundation.

Out of the mouths of babes...

Posted April 7th, 2011 by Bryan Riportella

My wife and I are now the proud parents of adult children; though it has its benefits...no dirty diapers and sleepless nights, there are a lot of things I miss about my children being young...

Being a part of a great church family, we get to share in the lives of many of the children here at World Revival Church and it is a joy to watch God at work in their lives.  Take this story for instance...

What are you going to be when you grow up!

Posted February 15th, 2011 by Bryan Riportella

As I reflect back to my first year in college I gain great appreciation to be a part of what God is doing here at World Revival School of Ministry.   Those first years after high school can be emotionally trying times.  You know how everybody always asks you "what are you going to major in?,  what are you planning to do for a career?"

A Present from Heaven

Posted December 29th, 2010 by Bryan Riportella

The Holidays can bring with them a mixed bag of emotions, especially for those who have lost loved ones throughout the year.  This was the case for my mother-in-law, Marian who had lost her daughter Julie just 9 months ago.  Julie was only 51 and was married and had two grown children.

Julie's husband Don was preparing to go see Mom for Christmas and was not looking forward to facing all the memories that were held in the home.  He was even thinking about not going but something happened that day that is nothing short of a Christmas miracle.

Changed Lives

Posted November 23rd, 2010 by Bryan Riportella

Every year when we start our new school quarter I look forward with great expectancy of seeing lives changed right before my eyes.

It happens over and over again.  A student comes into school expecting we will be just like any other school and boy do they find out quickly that is not the case.  One student said to me "you guys don't just care about putting knowledge in our heads you want us to get this in our hearts", well spoken.

What's it going to be like in Heaven?

Posted September 30th, 2010 by Bryan Riportella

I'm sure, like me, you have wondered what Heaven is going to be like.

Six months ago this question was heavy on my heart because my wife's 51 year old sister died.  A beautiful healthy woman, mother, and wife one moment and then suddenly she was gone.

Why go to World Revival School of Ministry?

Posted July 23rd, 2010 by Bryan Riportella

As Dean of World Revival School of Ministry, I get asked this question quite often.  And basically my answer is the same for whoever is asking.

You should go to World Revival School of Ministry because your life will be changed forever!

You will get a firm foundation of Biblical knowledge and learn how to apply that knowledge to living for God now.

Somebody's Watching- An update from the Online Pastor

Posted July 13th, 2010 by Bryan Riportella

Ever wonder how many people are actually watching World Revival Church services.  As the Online Pastor here at WRC, I think about this every week. I am amazed to see thousands are watching and logging on from all over the world and at all hours of the day and night just to participate in our revival services.

Here is a list of  of the countries that are streaming our revival services over the internet...
